    its better to remove the baseboard to have a more professional look but a lot of people just do the second option to cut time and cost

    i would say that it depends on what is on the floor now and what is the subfloor...you want a good, solid base for tile and if you're going over a wood subfloor you need to put an underlayment down first, then the tile. If you're going over a concrete slab you can usually get away with tiling straight to the concrete (as in Keith's case). Either way the baseboards should come up. In the long run it makes it easier to hide any ugly tile edges under new baseboard.

    It's a concrete slab. Going to have to level the other bathroom floor before I tile though... toilet rocks :(

    Very true. Some do it better than others. IMHO Disney does it best. This is a Nickelodeon flick and they do a good job as well. ILM was also involved which enhanced the viewing pleasure.
