I have been summoned for jury duty twice. The first I served on a jury where the State of Maine charged a woman for kidnapping. She was guilty but with extenuating circumstances. She took her kid to Hawaii to escape her abusive husband. Technically she admitted to breaking the law as she was not supposed to take her child to another state. The State did not make a convincing case of prosecuting her and I am not convinced that wasn't intentional. The defense show convincingly that she was abused. The jury I served on did not convict. I was also summoned this past summer. Ironically enough, for July during a period of time I was scheduled to move only 15 miles away but that distance moved me from one county to the next. You cannot serve on a jury in one county if you do not live in that county. I informed the court of this situation and I was excused. Turns out the closing process was delayed until the end of July and I might have had time to serve the scheduled jury duty dates.

Was looking for something and came across this 2” dial indicator. I’ve been here 27+ years and never seen it. It was in an old dusty box, perfect match for the magnetic base
