    Speaking of my CFI days, that reminded me of a story…
    One time I stopped at the border checkpoint going into Toronto and the guy asked me for my license and then my passport/travel papers. I’m like “Huh? I don’t have none of that. I’m a US citizen”
    He says “Then why does your license say New Mexico?”
    “Uh, it’s a state, Officer”
    So he goes in his little building and gets on the phone. Then he comes back, doesn’t say a word, just hands me my license and waves me through. He didn’t even search the truck. :D
