    Tonneau cover, Black exhaust tip, blacked out badges and tailgate lettering. Black rhino(glamis)18x9 wheels with +12 offset. LT265/70/18 Toyo Opencountry ATIII. Metaltech 4x4 rock sliders Cali Raised lower grill light bar/mounts TRD Pro Skid, DD Fogs(pro), Ironman 4x4 FC pro lift.
    Before I pull the serpentine belt off. Anyone experience this noise and know if it is likely the belt or a pulley? Doesn’t really show up when at idle, but gets awful once you accelerate.

    My vote is a bad pulley bearing.

    Pull the belt and spin the pulleys by hand. You'll be able to feel that one.

    thanks. I’m guessing I could even just remove enough tension on the belt to spin the pulleys by hand. Thanks for the idea!

    Here's a good video on how to change your serpentine belt. (For V6 4.0L 2nd gen -- if you have a different engine, look for a different video. But the basics are the same: you can relieve tension on the belt via the tensioner pulley, and that will allow you to spin other pulleys by hand & possibly locate a bad one. (If it's a pulley..)

    Of course the squeal stopped again yesterday after I decided to spend time trying to figure out the cause.
    Next time it squeals I’m removing the belt and spinning pulleys.
