This is my struggle with the Grom. If I take the car on the highway I make it to work in 20 mins. Backroads on the Grom takes me 35 mins. I also don’t want to take the SV on that stretch of highway either. It has barriers and walls on both sides of the highway with zero runoff on the edges so you are in a death zone the whole way.

Same. At most I’ll use a wash brush to get into the hard to reach areas and between wheel spikes. My older bikes get a little degreaser on the underside to clean up the leaks and resulting grime. Compressed air is key to get those random pockets of water that may be hiding.

Looks great! I see those kz650 pop up from time to time, usually for a pretty fair price. I've thought about picking one up and turning it into a Cafe. Your son will be talking about the restoration he did with his father for years to come. Can't put a price on that!

Rite rite. Gonna try. Getting warm out.

I looked at the Beta 390 RRS. Looks sexy, but can’t do for 12k. and a 45-60 day build time after order has been placed. Plus a 37 inch seat height. Will need the Gene Simmons boots to get on that mofo. Haha

The 300 is more refined, but that DRZ is a bad bitch for a 400cc.
