    Hello,

I am looking at getting a 2011 Access Cab with the 2.7L. This means I could either get the base convenience package or get the SR5 package for ~$300 more.

I was curious, are the SR5 bucket seats with the lumbar support more comfortable than the base bucket seats? I plan on going for a test drive or at least sitting in both to see - but I feel like you would need more than a few minutes to notice a difference.

So are the SR5 seats more comfortable and is it work the extra cash for the SR5 packlage?

I believe the base bucket and SR5 bucket seats are the same. I do know the TRD seats are different.

I've never sat in the TRD seats, but I do know that the SR5 seats are more comfortable than any of my previous trucks...granted they were older.

Yeah - if you can get an SR5 for $300 more, definitely go with it. You get the limited slip differential, power/windows doors, cruise control, color matched fenders (4x4), intermittent wipers and maybe some other stuff...not sure exactly what comes on the base model. With the SR5 you do get the chrome rear bumper and grill which I'm not a fan of, but those are easily changed.

all 09+ have the auto LSD, but even 05-08 SR5 did not have a mandatory LSD. it was an option as well.

Forgot about that...have to remember i bought my 08 before they added all kinds of goodies.

I assumed the LSD was standard with the SR5 package (pre-09)....thanks for clearing that up.

np, mechanical LSD was standard only in the sports and an option elsewhere.

Drop the extra on the SR5 package (although I thought it was a bit more than that).
