I used to have this same setup before I switched to a bed cap. I had the same gaps as you show in the picture, because I didn’t want to do any trimming. I used a bead of black silicon to seal the gap and it worked like a charm.

I put thousands of miles on the truck with that setup and never had a leak.

Just picked up a set of 8” Billie Bars and molle panels. Should be here in the next week or so. Really excited after a lot of research. I’ll be mounting my Thule Basin on top.

I got the Billie Bars Bed Stiffy's and Tailgate cover kit a couple months ago. They seem do the job. No more crunching my knee caps.

I just installed the 8" Billie Bars. The quality is good. Tent isn't fully installed yet. I still have some adjusting to do with the bars. IMG-4813.jpg IMG-4817.jpg

you'll definitely be able to roll them past the first bar, the second bar will be determined where you mount it though!

Definitely go with BillieBars, top quality, packaging is amazing, bars are super strong and durable. same with the bed mounts good powdercoating, my voodoo ones had rust in half the time ive owned my BB. Only thing for me is I am curious if they would sell the 8" mountings separately for those of us that have the 5" ones and are now looking to go a lil higher. I guess that is a question for Nathan.. :)

LOVE mine! legit, had just over 1k lb's on these bars at one point (drunken July 4th shenanigans, dont ask) and not even the slightest give or creak came from these bed bars. Highly recommend! IMG_20220729_203728.jpg IMG_20220702_103749.jpg

    1000LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just some info on those rhino rack ski mounts - if you take the feet off there is a t-bolt under them that can slide right into our t-slots for a super clean install!

@tacotiger_14 is this a TygerAuto soft roll-up tonneau cover? If so, how is the fit over the BillieBar mounts? did you add any extra seal or cut any way?

Also, looks you have the ability roll up all the way. I'm interested as I have the same tonneau cover, but in the summer I remove it and switch to my RCI bedrack, which is arguably over engineered for what I need. IF these Billie bars played nice with my existing tonneau and I could leave them on all year round I'd be tempted to go this route.

I just received mine and installed them this weekend. I like that they work with my Tonneau Cover, but by that I mean they allow me to keep it on, not use it. With the 5" brackets, it is Impossible to roll up my Tyger Tonneau cover. Kinda bummed, if I could do it again I would get the taller brackets for sure, but it is what it is, they are already installed.

We do have a trade in program for the taller brackets when you want them! But we love the look of your truck!
