A used sander for a plow truck would cost you about 1500-2k for a mostly working one. But expect to spend probably 800 to fix it up if it's basic maintenance things like bearings and drive chains. The bed chain will run you about 500 for the chain itself when that needs to get replaced every three or four years.

The plow is hanging off a winch and isnt heavy enough to be worth a shit just from my first couple attempts at moving some snow in the yard. May be okay for a dusting but too soon to tell. Would opt for a plow on a full sized truck if I had the choice.
We use the loader on the tractor at home to plow the driveway, it mows it right down and works awesome. Even the wet heavy bs we just had.

 

Some years ago, Northern Hydraulics (now just Northern) had a snowblower attachment for pickup trucks that was powered by an Onan diesel in the bed. That sounded good with a bit less weight on the front end and (hopefully) avoiding the impacts to be encountered with a blade. We're currently in a period of 40 degree mostly dry weather until later in the week, when a winter pattern returns... Back and forth we go...

 

Now that is something I want to see!

hope alls well. Trying to catch up here. Been a whirlwind couple of weeks, so forum time has been low on the list. If you've seen me on here for a while you know my primary plus one is my pup, shown in my avatar. I spend more time with him than any human, goes to work with me, sleeps in my room, talk to him all day. He's kind of a big deal. Found out the fast growing bump on his ear is cancer. So we got after it last week. Still waiting on Pathology, difference between low grade vs high grade 'mass cells' is the difference between having him around for years vs months. Should know by the end of the week. His name's Brodie. Feel free to send him some positive energy
