I think I'm going to use Castrol since it's same $27/5qt as Penzoil and even SuperTech.

I know Hanover Toyota was using penzoil to service mine. I been buying supertech, or penzoil but I'd buy Castrol too. I mean they are all good oils. Whatever they have in stock for around that same price in those brands can't be bad.
I used Castrol in my old Subarus for years. One of them made it wall over 200,000 miles on conventional oil so it I'd trust it and most oils aren't that much different.

Agreed. My 2000 Tacoma has 362k on it..... conventional oil. Been using Havoline for years.... runs fantastic and don't have to add oil between changes.

I am so happy with my Taco! Did my first oil change at 400 miles and the oil filter looked amazingly good. The only debris looked good and chunky, no glitter, it's what you would expect from a brand new engine. Your engine has so many machined parts and it is so difficult to get them all 100% clean and free of chips prior to assembly. My next oil change will be at ~2500 miles and then 5000 mile intervals.
