There should be a third option for "I don't care." I picked buried. Preferably at a national cemetery. If I'm buried there, at least someone will come around on Memorial day and Veterans day and put a flag up for me. I know nobody I know is going to come to visit me in the cemetery; that's gone out of fashion, nor will I be around to care. If I'm cremated, I don't want my ashes to be left on someone's mantle to be gawked at or inadvertently sold at some distant relative's yard sale 50 years later. I'd rather they be spread over some nice overlook at an off-road park in mountains like AOP or Windrock. Some nice overlook viewpoint in the Smoky Mountain NP would be okay too.

 

I find this title to be very disturbing.

I've told everybody burn me and spread me wherever. I also have told everybody, even work, do not resuscitate! Let me go and let life insurance take care of it.

 

There's truth to that. Gotta be down wind or no wind and definitely hold your breath.

 

Unless you have a signed, valid DNR, CPR should be initiated no matter what you tell people.

 

I would imagine it's illegal here as well, but I sure kept an eye out.

Nothing good ever happened in a cemetary at 2am....well, there was that one time when I was 17...

Cremated and ashes spread on the West bound lane of the highway - I'm at my happiest when driving.

 

That's sayin' something as I know you're a Deere guy!


On another note, I paid $1800 for the thing Aug '20 and now the same model is like $2500-$2800

 

That's way too clean and shiny!

 

Everything he has & does is that way -- makes me feel when I look around my various disaster areas...
