Factory box frames aren't watertight. They have various holes for transportation straps and whatnot

I'm not retired. Gotta drive to work in the rain. And sometimes.... Through the puddles

    No space = no flex.

No flex = cracks and warps

Man, the little ones really soak up all your free time i tell ya. Back from my rock lets see whats going on.

They only coat the frame in cold weather states. KS and MO are not considered cold weather states.

i hear the need for a full size. We decided to go hunting for a 7.3l excursion here soon to replace the deathtrap that is the red taco.

the tacoma frames only fail and get replaced if there are holes in the front boxed section. They dont even look at the rear delams

I wanna join too. Miss riding with friends.

@T1TITAN we were looking for an excursion couple years ago but with the V10. I don’t trust ford diesel. Couldn’t find any of either that weren’t worn out and overpriced. What do you ride?

    Well that's stupid
Those things go for a pretty penny
The 7.3 Ford diesels was one of ford's better diesels. The current Ford diesels aren't too bad either. If I could afford a brand new full size I'd get the Super Duty with either the 7.3 gas engine or the diesel

Were probably disqualified because we go through all four seasons multiple times a month rather than staying cold...

I would love a mid-90s 7.3 powerstroke, but holy crap are those pricey even for a clapped-out pickup. Dad has the 7.3l gas engine, Ford did pretty well with that design.

I guess I also wouldn't turn down the previous International 7.3 IDI. They make significantly less power and torque, but are outrageously understressed and simpler to work on the direct injected 7.3 PS.
