They were a good purchase for $50. They certainly do the job. I'd say at $60 the OEM switch, although handy, was a bit overpriced

 

Since getting my access cab, my dog is mystified at the fact the windows can’t be rolled down, and he lets me know it until he remembers he has the rear window open. However, I think he misses the wind.

 

Just installed Tacoma Lifestyle black interior door handle covers and an ISSYAUTO gas cap holder from Amazon

 

It's all about the windows. The husky is much like yours and has a running diatribe about opening the windows on days where climate control or highway speeds prevent it. The border patrol collie believes they are evil and must be attacked whenever they move. The lab enjoys a good sniff occasionally but also prefers the back window. The 2 dachshunds are happy to be in the dog throne so they can see out of the windows for a change. One prefers my lap while the other would much rather be with his big brother, the lab, in the back seat. We call them the twins.

 

I got both of those. The gas cap holder is perfect for me but the AJT door handle covers...I had to sand part of them that rubs against the door handle "bowl". I might get the Meso in MGM color when it becomes avail.

 

I lucked out, no rubbing. But it is very close tho.

 

Most satisfying mod…the loan payoff mod.

Got the elite for offroad use when pulling a trailer offroad. It helps to use the trailer for braking on steep downhills offroad. One trail the
truck had one wheel in the air and the trailer was leaning the opposite way. Also when going thru the Slat River Canyon and
dropping off the rim going the the valley (phoenix az )when pulling a trailer.

 

Deep clean of the front end and touched up the front bumper

 

Based off a youtube video on the driver side grab handle I mentioned earlier, this is what's suggested for a proper installation. Waaaay better than the ikea hardware they included.

Post re install. I'm very happy with the updated result. It's now secure and trustworthy. It was a figity process that took far longer than it should have yet totally worth the effort. Even installed a new air chuck on the compressor while I had the tool bag open. Now for the rest of the list.

60 ouch......mine was prewired and i found the lights for 35 but dealer wanted 179

Got my front rail installed today, easy- peasy!

 

There was some downtime at work, so I did the AC drain mod.

 

I always liked this solution. I actually saw this on a dented truck bed today.

Seems like an extreme measure to take to avoid pinstripes offroad, but it certainly seems effective.
