The ones we were using, Ski Doo 600 Expeditions I think I saw for around $10k, but our guide told us these were basically the Prius of Snowmobiles lol.

Topped out at 55mph in the stretches where we could hit that speed but for my first time that was plenty fast enough, turning in those things at speed is sketchy until you get used to it

Ok you're good haha. Tbh honest that's basically what I was picturing when you mentioned it. (something more technical since you seem to excel there versus a tradition media artist etc.)
I know some friends, who even after working as an artist/designer for years, making good money and doing well, suddenly get this kick to go back and get a degree and it never ends well.
*Unless they fully go another direction outside of that world, then fair play.

Maybe Sportsmobileforum could help shed some light? Or Expo? I know the van folks seem pretty active online, at least when I had mine (though, not unique like a Quigley) they were. Also don't blame you if you don't want to jump into another forum.

That'll be great. My old 2wd GM 8ft bed was the most useful vehicle I owned. I probably should never have gotten rid of it when I got the Cruiser.

Looked at an LR4 this week out of curiosity. Popped up at a dealer I could walk to from work. Not gonna do it or anything, even though the reliability is apparently markedly better than previous gens from what I've read, just feels risky. But damn, they're nice. I certainly get the draw. (Also not super into going back to a 12-13mpg vehicle)
Started rethinking the idea of getting another 20+ year old vehicle/truck though and going to pass, go another direction. Maybe I'm getting lazy.

I have dabbled on sports mobile forums but it isn't quite sustainable for me. My van is two decades old and so there are some old articles/threads that have been helpful but equally you have those writeups where the website hosting the images is long gone and not helpful. They are highly customized and I find that I usually do ok just figuring things out in my own. I have a parts list from Quigley so I need to just call them as I hear they are good at digging up their records and getting parts you need, just at what cost is unknown.

I need to fabricate a mousepad; it's way easier editing and drawing at my PC but even a quick fix on the laptop is a pain so I go right back to the PC.

They'll probably look those records up for free as a customer service thing. IMO, Quigley is the best in the business. Pioneers in the 4x4 van conversion world, they've been doing it since 74 and for awhile there they were the only conversion company that Ford recognized. (In so far as maintaining factory warranty after a conversion)

I had an issue with the paws and one set of lines not being connected

Drew the fucker on Draftsight; text I traced from a Microsoft Word screenshot

I had to go back to my PC (where I drew it), fix the issues, then email myself the file again to pull it up on the laptop
