What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I was working in my garage and still got some dirt particles in a few areas. Gives the wrap some character lol

 

I said the same about adding character. The more I tried to get it perfect, the worst it became. I had to learn when to quit.

 

Gearing up for my 90k service. Thanks to those for the threads outlining the maintenance schedule for the 4.0L and what is needed when.

Siliconed the lenses and strain relief on these guys to hopefully prevent their fogging issues. I tried plasma and grinder for the hell of it, 1/4 of the time with the plasma but you can see the results for yourself. Don't try to use duct tape to prevent slag scarring it just melts the tape and drips
.

Also painted the edges of my cuts trying to be more "pRoFFsinal"

Did get the hammer hangers installed as well as breaklines and 35's

 

New (remanufactured) calipers, pads, rotors, fluid studs and lugs!

 

I'm not normally a fan of colored wheels but this is very clean looking.

 

Did you paint those calipers or did they come like that?

 

Flipped 221,000 right when I pulled in my driveway.

Used VHT ‘Real Red’ caliper spray paint. Satisfied so far.

 

Bumped up to 35s and got an alignment, had the control box for my Badlands winch relocated, and hit a milestone.

 

Did the simplest power steering flush ever.

Also changed the oil.

 

that spot is where i mounted my controlbox for my winch in my 09, thought i do want to get the "competition" control box for my Ironman4x4 winch its smaller

 

Yeah, I can only hope that HF eventually puts out a smaller control box, because this thing is huge and definitely blocks more airflow than those from the competition. If not, there's a good chance that I end up re-relocating it into the engine compartment after I do my cowl intake.

 

i almost went with the Badlands apex and was going to install the box on the top of the winch, but figured if i ever needed to install the cable if the batteries died in the controller id be doing all sorts of spiderman weirdness to get the cable into the plug, but luckily i found that on my 09 grill there is a smaller louver in the grill i can get my fingers into and can plug the control through the front. but my ARB bumper mounts from the "bottom" of the winch. well clocks the winch 90 degrees. think there might have been room though to fit it before it comes into contact with the radiator area
