Good call I'll see what people are using for this bike. I agree it's a worthy investment to be able to pull codes and make adjustments.

    Ha!

I have been playing this game for the last couple days via phone/text. Finally got down there this morning in person. They gave me some numbers and I laughed. Sales guy then came back to with his “best”, and it was still 35% over. So now, I’m stringing them along with a, call you back later and let you know.

Don't buy an Aprilia unless you're near a dealer or you're okay with traveling to one. They're awesome bikes with lots of character, but they're not without their issues. The Aprilia (Piaggio) dealer network is not the most expansive in the US. The Tuareg is a super fun bike. They've got plenty of punch in the parallel twin and they're not overly heavy. I'd definitely recommend test riding one if you get a chance. Take a look at the Tuareg section on the Aprilia forum:

I like your style! It’s all a joke, but they will find some fool to pay it so more power to them.

Right footpeg and brake lever look bent AF. My money is on the kid crashing it hard and either the kid being scared to ride again or Mom saying no to riding anymore haha either way should work in your favor

Can motorcycle/car dealers run your credit with just your license? I'm always hesitant to hand over my license unless I'm serious about buying. When I've done test drives, I've told them I'll show my license to them but am not giving it to them. Sometimes they balk at that, and I've just left. Other dealers are fine with just showing it and jotting down my name. This post is one more reason I can't stand dealers.

shift shaft brace, extended shifter, extended foot brake, larger pegs with a cradle mount should all be done before the first ride

and replace those original tires for proper tires and HD tubes

The Knipex pliers wrench are not supposed to bite into nuts/bolts since they aren't serrated and they lock so they don't slip like slip jaw pliers. I think having the Cruz wrench is a good idea, but I'm holding off on buying anything else until I get the Givi box and see how much room I will have.

It’d be hard since they don’t have your social or authorization, more for insurance than anything. I’d probably do the same before letting a random person test ride my bike.

Bikes, I get. I've given it when looking at bikes. I should've been more clear; I was mostly referring to car/truck dealers.

Had to go back to your Knipex pliers photo for a closer look. I didn't realize they weren't serrated jaws. Thinking now I might have to order a set to try out myself.
