Ya, I didn't know if that one was fair. The picture focused on the old school Smokey sticker.

and I see that the 55 Bel Air is missing that tubular bit on the lower bumper. Didn't catch that before, was just going off the shape of the headlight and the barrel curve of the rear quarter

I went that way too for a while, the Lincoln Zephyr was very similar, although I think the Studebaker looks much more massive. That one was a good digger. :)

The car is a 57 Buick btw.

I love the cars from the late 30's and early 40's when the style was to have the V hood and those big curved fenders on either side. Just something so cool and unique about them.
And hood ornaments. Love me a gigantic, chrome hood ornament

There's two big car shows back to back here that I try not to miss because the range of the cars on display is so great. First weekend of August is the Yellowstone Rod Run in West Yellowstone. Cars from all over the US and Canada. Folks will haul their fancy cars up here just for the chance to participate in the show and do the poker run through Yellowstone Park so they can get some pics of their rigs at iconic sites in the park. So many cool, shiny things to see. The TV show My Classic Car has filmed there twice I think. And the second weekend of August we have Cruising on Main here in Bozeman and the city shuts down 4 or 5 blocks of our historic Main St for all of the cars to park and show off. Since the two shows are on back to back weekends lots of folks will be in both but there's always something cool and interesting.

    Yup, good curves are sexy.

And technically, I did find this in the woods as I bought it from a guy who's property is surrounded by FS land.

    Sounds like a great time!

I have been going to shows, really automotive related flea markets, at Carlisle, Pa for over 30 years, 88 acres of surprises.
You never know what will be there, I do know that I can't afford whatever it is however...

well if you ever decide to plan a trip to MT make sure its in August and let me know. We can hang out at the car shows together. I think you could probably tell folks things about their cars that even they don't know!

I’ll take some pictures next time I’m up at the family farm. My grandfather just left every vehicle that stopped rolling in the orchard, then “cleaned up” by pushing them all into the ravines. Just think kid, someday this (environmental disaster) will all be yours…

Not from my farm but something we picked up for our little co-op ski area…kinda scary to drive.

    Bombardier sidewalk plow, neat machine.

A fellow over the hill has one someone took the cab off and kind of fitted a loader attachment from a tractor on.

Their innovative "step down" design offered a lot of advantages, the passenger compartment was within the perimeter of the frame. Safer, they had a lower center of gravity so they handled better, they also were smoother and more comfortable riding.

Unfortunately the design was also very difficult and expensive to re-design so six years later it looked dated.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
6th one down is definitely an early 70's Monte Carlo.

Guy I worked with at a dealer in the 90's had a Gremlin in that color that he swapped a Ford 5.0 and T5 into. Cool little car.
