that's the whole point of the Land Cruiser.... so they DON'T know you spent the money

That’s debatable whether you consider the OG G wagen to be a luxury SUV or not

First Mercedes SUV sold in the US was the ML-class ;)

"Sold in the US" is an important distinction. Toyota didn't kill the Land Cruiser; it's just no longer sold in the US.

Yea ? 80k body on frame suv that seats 7. There is literally no point to have a Land Cruiser.
The current Land Cruiser based Lexus is also fucking hideous.

Except that right off the lot it is far superior off-road to anything that Toyota sells in the US and that hasn’t changed.

No Sequoia, Tundra, Tacoma, or 4Runner comes close unless you’re willing to hack it up and spend big bucks.

They are not. This has been already debunked. They share some platform commonality, but they are not the same vehicle.

The LX 600 is the only 300 series coming to the us.

No. There isn't a 4th gen tacoma yet. It's coming. This thread is all the speculation and renders of what it might look like.

Yeah, but 2 reduced cylinders, turbos, will share same frame (different sizes) offer a few less trim levels but more than half the same. Probably the best starting point to look at just downgraded for a Tacoma
