    After about 1.5 hours I got the springs swapped out! Bad news, I couldn’t break the lock nuts loose so the height isn’t where I want it.
    Good news is I think it has more of a plush ride. I’ll know once my wife or kid rides with me. No noticeable dip or lean during turns.

    Did your 5100's wear out? I almost pulled the trigger on those, but went with 4600's because of budget. i got 3rd gen 4runner for the fronts and 80series LC for the rear. I will save the old KYB MonoMax's incase the runner dies, I will swap out the good stuff with the crusty worn junk before scrapping it.

    From what I have learned from the webernet you are correct, I just need to remove the U bolts and slowly lower the axel on that side. I am going to use my floor jack and a bottle jack.

    The 5100's I had did wear out. I had them on for... 110,257 miles. Which is a lot. They were leaking and every time I hit a bump in the road my head would nearly touch the ceiling. Not anymore with the new Tokicos. They ride nice ans smooth. A little bouncy but I'm wondering if that's due to the LC80 springs I have back there. Contemplating on replacing those with some OME 861's.

    I agree, save what you can for any future endeavors. Better to have it on hand especially if it isn't taking up needed space anywhere. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
