On a side note, I decided to de stress a bit tonight by soaking in the tub with a bourbon and a book (iPad in this case).
So I decided to re-read “the Weapons Shop”. I think Heinlein is the author… and I came across this sparkling gen of a passage to lay on the tribe:

Fara was silent. This was a quality of his wife of which he did not approve, this reminding him unnecessarily of unpleasant facts. He knew exactly what she meant.

I hadn't heard of this one before. Author is A. E. van Vogt written in 1947. I may have to make this one of my next reads.

I read it first, way back near my high school days. Assuming my memory goes back that far.
The story is still quite relevant today, if not more so.

btw, the entire purpose of the quote was the line about the wife, not the rest of the story. I have no interest in a time out!

What are you going to do with it?

    Shoot up road signs?

He would have to find a sign that isn't already shot up.
    Good luck with that.

If you can still read the sign it continues to carry the message of the enemy and must be completely terminated.:laser:

Keep that up and we will soon be like Missouri where there are no signs and one must navigate by cemeteries...

    He's not an up-north redneck...

...that and Madison is getting rougher by the day...

I have never been so lost and so frustrated as navigating the Mark Twain NF! It was misery I tell you.

Very true about Madison. It won’t be long before we are like Detroit!
Mostly though, I think that would make a nice statement to my neighbors!
