Junk drawer addition. I’ve always struggled with housemates going in the garage searching for a tool and knocking stuff over or kicking bolts around.

Hate getting mad about it because they live here too, but I do pay higher rent to reserve the garage. So this will be more accessible. Have an allen key set and tape measure in the drawer too.

I hate doing that with my own stuff; last night the stupid dimmer wasn't connecting to my wifi so I had to grab a flat head to pull it out, and re-add it via the QR code.

Took a pic of it and emailed it to myself in case it ever happens again.

 

Really is.

 

Every now and then a decent one comes up for under 10k but they last one I saw like that sold in less than a day.

We were like two ships in the night (errr, two planes in the night). I landed in Redmond at 11:15 last night from Reno (via San Fran). Would've been nice to meet up for a quick beer.

 

I'm in the same boat. I went with the heavy OME kit (due to front/rear bumpers, winch, sliders, RTT, 250lbs of dog etc). It's pretty stiff, but feels stable/planted enough. When I put my 250lb motorcycle on a hitch carrier I get zero sag (still no snag when I stand on the carrier too). Have really been looking into 35's, load range C to help a bit before I can save up enough for coilovers, front/rear UCA's and LCA's etc.

 

Yeah, like I said it makes sense.

I was on the opposite end where I had OME 906 on the 4R (lift, no load) and it was perfect. Hell, had another member on here ride several miles as passenger when we were at Moab.

Went with the dual swingout rear and those 906 were too soft so I went one step up and switched to OME 890. Gave that height I wanted as well as the load support. Was a much taller coil so no more potential coil fall-out.

Can't imagine how big of a swing a motorcycle on the rear hitch adds but I'm sure you can "feel" it back there.

 

What kind of components you gonna throw on there?

 

Damn I need to get one of those, I hate having to go out to our shed in the backyard where all my stuff is when I just need a simple Allen key or something. I do keep a cheap HF screwdriver set in the kitchen though

Surprisingly, no. You can see it in the pics below (modified to carry totes). Even with those tote loaded with shit, I could stand and jump on the carrier and have the rear coils barely move.

Still trying to figure that out. Front uppers are dealers choice. Have to look into all the various offerings. Want something adjustable to max out the caster. Need to do a CMC and pinch weld mod first to see how much caster I'll need. Will probably just go with stock LCA's, only want to replace cause the LBJ's are pressed into the LCA and there isn't a whole lot of support for replacement joints alone. Looking at Dobinsons adjustables for rear UCA/LCA.

 

hmmm that does look good.

I don't even have a countertop over my dishwasher it's painted and unleveled OSB. Ive had thought about making a butcher block cover with a wrap front that hides the state of things lol

 

The hammered finish is amazing haha

I don't know why it isn't more popular these days. It seems like it was more common 10+ years ago lol
