    Baja designs light bar
    Smittybuilt Winch
    ARB Duals Air Compressor
    ARB Pressure Control Module

This has been happening while driving. I can force it to happen when I brake moderately while turning left. If I don’t brake too hard, it only resets the center console. A/C and radio. I’ll post another.

    Update : 24 hours later

For those of you that are noticing just the head unit, pay attention to the lights on the dash as well as the speedometer. I lost all electronics in the truck including throttle response.

I have done what most of you have said, I took all the electronics off of the batteries. Winch, light bar, air compressor. So far with minimal driving no issues.

Also as I disconnected my battery to take the electronics off, I noticed my black cable (can’t remember off the top of my head if it’s positive or negative) was loose enough to spin freely, but not loose enough it would rattle. Would that cause disconnects in the power?

I had changed the battery to a Northstar 27f (Crashburns post) last weekend hoping it would resolve the issue since Napa auto parts told me I had a bad battery. Obviously it was not the issue but I got an appropriate battery now. I will report back after a week and probably if I have theissues, I will reattach just the light bar. Iwill continue to reattach one item at a timeand see if something triggers it again.

That seems like a canbus error. It can be a nightmare to diagnose. Loose connections to the BCM can do this.

I would 100% start with a battery and alternator test. Check connections and voltages.

Next a comprehensive scan with a Toyota licensed scanner. You need to be able to read every module and most cannot.

I don't have an answer for you, but I did have a similar problem with my previous vehicle (2018 Jeep Renegade Latitude).

The touchscreen would turn off and become inoperable at random times when my cellphone was plugged in and connected to the head unit with Android auto. Is this the case with your problem? Or does this happen to your truck even without your phone plugged in? I never had the problem when the phone wasn't plugged in.

I understand not plugging in your phone to the front USB doesn't fix the problem, but it may be a temporary workaround.

It was one of the reasons I sold the Jeep.

I would start with disconnecting each accessory you stalled one by one.

Do you have an extended warranty?

Also, looks like you have some electronic add ons. How recently were those out on that you were messing with the electrical?

and lastly, with those other add ons, do you off-road? Off-road like crossing rivers and stuff?

System reboots are not uncommon in the factory head unit. If you have done any modifications in and around the factory connectors, I would run though them all and ensure they are seated properly. Otherwise, I would take the video and take the truck to the dealer to address it under warranty.

    Of course it could…
Everything you describe says no power or as already mentioned no CAN.

I suspect since tightening the battery connections your problems are gone. At least hope that is the case. The other is option mentioned can indeed be hard to find.

probably exactly the issue. Little body roll in an turn and cable probably flexes just barely enough to not have full contact while loose.

If that is the Ground cable off the battery, either going to the engine or the body, then Yes, YES, YES!

An intermittent connection would result in that!
