No affiliation to this dealer. I get my 2017 Triumph Trophy serviced here so I get their promotion emails.

For those looking at Triumph/Guzzi/MV they are discounting some of the 2022s. I was internet eyeballing a red 2022 660 Tiger Sport that would nicely complement my bigger Triumph.

edit - I really like the T700 Yamaha too.

Just put another 30ish miles on mine today.

I really like my tiger sport. Great sporty street bike thats super comfortable for me and a great compliment to the tacoma in terms of fun factor vs an ADV bike that'd cross over the venn diagram much more. Quick enough to get you smiling in daily riding conditions and to get out of trouble, but not fast enough to really get you INTO trouble unless you want to. Side bags hold a helmet each comfortably, or a pretty respectable grocery run.

Also, Korosi Red is miles ahead of the blue and grey in terms of color. I bought mine with all 3 next to each other and it wasn't even close.

I guess I'm spoiled in hoping I get out the door close to MSRP. When it's an extra thousand dollars tacked onto a $7,000 dollar purchase it hurts more than a grand on a car or a truck. Still, I have the equity in the SxS so if I trade that it'd just be a smaller check vs money out of my account.

I talk a little bit about it on the outro of the video doing these panels (whenever I finish editing, might be my longest yet..) very much yes and no.

Yes in the sense that it's 3 5mm hex head bolts and 3 push-pin body clips. I could take it off in 45 seconds if I had to. No in the sense that buying additional panels is a giant pain in the ass and the options available in the US are nowhere near what they got in Japan/Thailand/Asia in general, probably Mexico too. They get the Honda OEM ADV, Sumo, RR, etc kits. (H2C is apparently Honda directed/owned?) that we don't. We only have a few colors of body panels that are generally impossible to order correctly. I'm genuinely shocked the correct color showed up haha. I want an OEM high pipe damnit haha

Like, take a look at this, if their idea is that someone who has never ordered parts before can decipher this and get what they want, they're not going to be able to, and this is just the body panels, not the cowl, decals, or headlight shroud or anything:

    upload_2023-2-11_19-28-6.jpg

For each of the like 14 parts I ordered I had to cross reference with ebay or other random sites to make sure it was the right color, giant PITA, and I still wasn't positive it was right.

Alright, sorry y'all, rant over :anonymous:

So when do you order the scrambler stuff? That is definitely my favorite out of the three!

Don't hate me, technically it's going to be my girlfriend's bike, and yes she can ride it like it's meant to be ridden, being that she's selling her 25K mile heavily off-roaded KTM 1090 Adventure R. We have all sorts of parts on the way already, new springs, exhaust, a whole list from Camel ADV.

Here are my other two bikes, the F850GSA is my Daily/Big Adventure bike, and the Scrambler is just a blast to ride for the day.

I got the Icon mini tool kit! It's so much tinier than I thought it would be (that's what she said).

    upload_2023-2-11_20-20-30.jpg

I've already ordered some Vessel JIS bits to replace the PH bits in the kit.

The awesome part is it fits under the seat!

    upload_2023-2-11_20-20-54.jpg

The Knipex pliers wrench also fits under the seat as well. I've got some 5-13mm 1/4" hex nut drivers coming in as well, along with the Cruz wrench that @BkerChuck recommended. If I can fit those under the seat as well, I might not even need the Givi S250 box, which would save me over $100 and save me from having to make a mount.

FWIW, the OEM high pipe is probably a slow heavy pig. I’ve actually been looking at stuff for the grom and monkey and was actually wondering earlier today how much work would be involved to use the high yoshimura exhaust on the grom. The fabricator in me says it’s probably just a bracket or two away from fitting with the motor being the same. But I also wonder if it’ll negatively change the rider position/comfort on your right leg. Might be completely doable with your skill set.

I wouldn't be surprised if a Monkey exhaust fit, the engines are basically the same. It'd just be that rear mount that'd be a bit different.

I've had my eye on this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204212084639

    Or this "yoshimura" https://www.ebay.com/itm/234845055020?epid=11020136357

Exhaust is a long way away for me though

Looks like you have a favorite tire - what is it? I’ve seen it before but I’m drawing a blank. Congrats on the T7, that color scheme looks sweet!

Got the swing arm cleaned up with a wire wheel… no way I’ll be able to do the whole frame that way.

I think motorcycles might be worse for mod fever than trucks... I don't have the bike, but I already found several mods.

Anyone have any experience with Fuel Exhausts?

I was into modifying cars when I was in high school and college. When I bought my Tacoma I was glad I didn’t have to spend money on mods. Boy was I wrong, I think it’s more expensive! If only I had cheap hobbies like kicking a soccer ball around :annoyed:

3 grand would be a Rally Raid stage 2 suspension on a CB500X, and at that point I'd be kicking my own ass for not getting a Tenere 700 or a V-Strom 650/800

We've been running the MotoZ Tractionator Adventure rear tires, with the MotoZ Dual Venture front. It's a bit squirrelly on the highway at speeds above 75, but off-road, they are king. The GF wants to go back to the TKC80 front, with the Tractionator Adventure rear, when this front tire wears out.
