My dad beat the fuck out of me and I didn't learn a god damn thing except to be afraid of men.

I still have a horseshoe shaped scar on my chest from a belt buckle tang. dunno what that was supposed to teach me. Whatever lesson was supposed to be there never stuck.

Yeah I went through a few similar experiences. My parents were raised under a pretty strict Midwestern bible belt authority and they were quick to lash out whenever we acted out vs trying to explain how and why what we did wasnt ok.

Yeah it's fucked up and it's also unfortunate to think they probably went through the same thing. But that doesn't excuse the behavior and someone has to step up and break the cycle.

We know damn well in your household you're supposed to eat all your food before leaving the table cause our parents guilt tripped us about how well we have things and other people don't :luvya:

I wouldn't compare my ass beating to that, but my uncle picked up the slack and introduced me to the money belt and basically ruined hiking for me by making me hike up all these Adirondack mountains all summer as punishment for random shit. I fucking hate to hike now.

Does anyone know if a Detroit LSD make the front diff stronger in these trucks? Would it make it more likely to blow CVs on a 3" lift?

There are 2 answers to that. Any solid carrier LSD or locker is a stronger carrier than the open factory carrier. You will be less likely to break a ring and pinion due to carrier flex under load.

The 2nd is that more torque to the CVs makes it more likely that you'll break a CV. That said a LSD is much gentler than a full Detroit locker or ARB

Don't put limited slip in a front diff it's unpleasant. Also yeah it would make it a bit stronger but why spend all that money for setup on an auto locker/lsd. It's like $900 to have a clamshell setup.

I have an extra front diff that came with the truck with a Detroit LSD installed. I thought they weren't noticeable on the road like a lunchbox locker but I could be wrong. I'm a little nervous about having it with the ADD system though.

Oh well if it's already installed then sure why not try it. I just wouldn't spend the money to swap a compromise in. Only time that setup cost is worth it is for a selectable locker or a dramatic regear.

I wouldn't do that one and I have the tools. But I sure as fuck wouldn't do it for some POS limited slip haha. I'd slap a lunchbox in before I did that, no setup there and because it's a lunchbox you can learn the lesson really fast about why selectable lockers exist.
