This sucks. Seems to be happening far too often in the Metro area these days.

Anyone have a recommendation for long life battery gps trackers?

I added remote start to my 2018 and it includes location service on the app. But they could easily rip it out.

I've been checking out standalone solutions like this. There are a lot of different options that are probably all similar internals just with different branding and customer service stuff (like everything else these days)

Does anyone here know of someone that knows anything about Toyota Diesels? I have a friend that has a 1992 Toyota Surf with a rebuilt 2L-TE. Has new injectors, rebuilt injection pump, swapped, ECU all new sensors.

The problem it is having is cold hard start runs like shit dumps fuel once it warms up and cleans up a lot but not perfect.

My friend lives in Colorado Springs.

Girl Scout cookies are making me go broke. I just have to support the cause. Disappointed that none of the stands have the new raspberry cookies on the table yet, but I'll keep checking.

Sister in law is a development director for the girl scouts in New Orleans. We are going to Mardi Gras on Thursday.... I plan to sample instead of buy this year since we will be around.

I missed/passed my 100 day goal. Today is 111 days of sobriety. In place of drinking, I took up Lego model building to keep my hands and brain busy and have managed to build 68 models in that time.
Not gonna lie, drinking was way cheaper.
Edit: 71 models, forgot to count the ones upstairs.

Believe it or not, we find a lot of stolen cars that owners stuffed air tags in the headliner. Most standard GPS trackers will get ripped out by the criminals when they go to pop the steering column to steal the car and they've learned to look for the obvious ones

Lowjack is still a good option though, as old as it is. A lot of departments have cars with Lowjack reader kits on them.

What about the iOS/AirTag feature that alerts someone if a tag is "following" them? Are car thieves just not iPhone users?

Apart from that possibility, it does seem like a solid/straightforward setup.

Troublesome motor that's for sure. Cold start could be related to glow plugs, not a very expensive replacement to try. Could still be the injection pump or mis adjusted valves. Tons of info on those motors on ih8mud.com. Have him search there.

I specifically avoided that motor for its known issues, a lot of guys on ih8mud will say to ditch it and swap for the 1kz.

Replaced engine with gerbils for sustainability.
Anyone have suggestions for what to use to cleanup/finish fender edges after trimming? Wondering if people have had more success with certain types of rubber edge guard.
