What’s the fuse amperage you’re using?

If I did my math right 15w at 12v = 2 amp fuse.

edit: Or am I supposed to calculate on the output? 15w at 5v = 3 amp so a 7/7.5 amp fuse should work with the +10%.

I think I’ll go with this along with usb c adapters since I’m using two mag chargers

Lots of videos on youtube. Basically you pre-treat the truck with the Absolute in a pump sprayer to loosen/encapsulate the dirt, then sponge wash using Absolute in a bucket. Follow with a quality drying towel & you're done. Quick, easy. no scratches, best wash routine I've ever tried.

Which bulbs did you go with? Only thing I can seem to find locally is the Sylvania but the Philips or Osram seem to be more desirable and easily available online. TIA.

always calculate fuses on the input draw of a device. generally you want the load to be 85% of the fuse rating to provide for startup draw, but prevent excessive over-draw if something goes wrong.

that works out to 2A in this case though.

 

I used Philips bulbs purchased from Amazon. Hardest part was the trimming of the metal tab on the bulb as my Dremel died. Slow process with a standard drill.

 

There is no need to trim the metal tab.

 

The Philips build tab had a slant on e one side. I just made it square. I was having a I hard time getting them in before I did that. I saw that it was not needed but could not get them in without it.

 

Drilled a hole and glued in the adapter.

the gas cap situation. move the plastic tender to the outmost hole
