Was on the way home tonight and realized I lost another bulb. I'm using the Silverstar Ultras, and this is the third bulb I've used in the last 10000 miles.

Not that big of a deal, but its kind of annoying. Anybody having life issues with the Silverstars like I am?

yep! I have been thru 4 sets in a year... They are junk. Hell I also burnt out a set of hella head lights in 2 1/2 months. I went back to the standard $5.00 lights... If I need more light i turn on the hella 700's.

Yeah it's a little bit ridiculous. I do it all correctly when I put them in and everything. No direct contact with skin, very carefully put them in so I cant blame it on fingerprints or anything.

I'm thinking an order with DDM is in store pretty soon... :)

Same problem here - went thru two sets less than 6 months each. Getting ready to write a nasty letter  to Sylvania.

In this case, you don't get what you pay for - these SilverStar bulbs aren't exactly cheap! Unfortunate that they don't last because they are indeed bright.

They have a 12 month satisfaction guarantee - let's see how they respond!!! www.sylvania.com/auto

some of this, a little of that
I got 2 years out of the last set of headlights, and so far longer than that on the fogs. I wear gloves when I out them in to make sure my fat fingers don't touch the bulb. Also I though I read on here that it has something to do with where they are made, that there are a couple of different sites.
