What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It's easy if you remove the bolts holding the windshield washer reservoir. Then just slide the reservoir over a little. No need to empty or remove it. Access to the light is better. Work on the light then just bolt the reservoir back. Really simple and easy.

 

I had to do that to give me enough room it insert the bulb.

 

Today I built and installed my own catalytic converter guards to weld onto my ARB skid plates. Not the best welder, but they came out ok.

Guards don’t cover the rear of the cat, but they do prevent Sawzall access to the front of the cat, so a thief wouldn’t *easily* be able cut the entire thing out. Hoping it’s enough of a deterrent.

 

Cleaned it up a little and sold the stock wheels and tires to someone that wanted them on an older body style Sequoia. They got a good deal and I gained some garage space

 

Ordered this bumper from Relentless Fab.. now to wait the 16-20week lead time..

 

Installed RCI full Skid Plates and Cali Raised Rock Sliders. Turned out awesome!

 

Picked up my new (to me) Leer cap. Don't worry, it's not staying gray My buddy should be helping me paint it next weekend if the weather's good.

 

Sold it. This was 5 min before the new owner came and picked it up. Sad times... sorry boys.

What's next?

 

Utilizing the OEM tie downs I installed, fairly effortlessly, a Nubi1 toilet. The life of a twin father is never dull!

 

Cut and sanded the shit out of some aluminum for the side rails of the roof rack I'm building.

 

DiodeDynamics.com They say it'll work, i couldn't figure it out in December, so giving it another whack.

 

I removed the ME-SO Ultimate full led tail lights (Morimoto) and re-installed the stock tail lights.
They were in for less than a year. I really liked them until the turn signals (both sides) started to fail.
Haven't heard back from meso since I sent video clips of the failures. So much for customer service.
I had good luck with them in the past. I wonder what changed?

Thanks! Yea it has already been replaced. I was not happy to make the switch, but I will return... just a when, not if. But for now it was not suiting my needs, even though I had it exactly where I wanted it and it was the perfect taco... for me. Wife talked me into this after weighing availabilty and cost options. A while back I told my wife I would only get rid or the taco for a raptor or TRX. Her family bleeds Ford, I'm a Toyota guy, you can see who won.

Don't worry, it's not staying stock. I've already done a few things, have things ordered, and have already been talking to accutune, thanks to the taco's awesome resale value.
Not enough room in the driveway or financially. It's not a taco or raptor, but I will make it my own and it is a nice truck.
