I saw a page or two back someone asking if people posting “Look what I scored!” Was people talking about snagging stuff at MSRP, or if it was people paying nose bleed prices on secondary. I’d submit that it can also be somewhere in between. All three of these bottles were purchased ABOVE MSRP, and BELOW secondary, and all were purchased from liquor stores. TBH I just couldn’t bring myself to trust some stranger on FB to give me a legit bottle. My local store, of which I am a very good customer has a locked office full of bottles that would blow your mind. He only sells them to loyal customers and yes he marks them way up from MSRP, but he sells them way below secondary, his thought and I 100% agree, why should he pay all overhead of running a store and not make a little money. I say cheers to capitalism!!!!! Also the reason I posted this is the 15yr was yesterdays addition. I’m super excited. Now I need a reason to open one…. I have a few ideas….

I have a similar situation in that I am a loyal customer at my preferred liquor store. I drive by probably more than 10 stores to get there and they know that. I have become friends with the manger, so I get called when they get the good stuff. And, like you, I pay more than MSRP, but not much. My Rip was $80ish, my 12 Lot B(x2) was $140ish, and my 15yr was $180ish. Have gotten several other highly desirable bottles from them that were priced similarly well. I feel very fortunate to have such a relationship.

That is exceptional…. I definitely paid more than that. Hahaha, obviously EVERYONE would buy those bottles at the prices you have listed. Good for you!!!

It was discussed a while back.

1920 seems to be the fan favorite, I have a single barrel BP in waiting (Thanks @Hook78 !) that Im looking forward to but its likely many months away.

The best thing about it is that it allows me to drink them without worrying about what I had to pay for them. And I share it with friends every chance I get.

Best thing I’ve heard in a long time, and I 100% agree. I got two bottles of Russels Reserve 13 for $90/bottle, I was able to give one away as a Christmas present to my BIL, If I paid $400+ for them that would have been a little harder! I long for the good old days, I gave a bottle of Eagle Rare away two nights ago to a new bourbon lover…. I used to keep quite a stash of those on hand, sadly now they are much harder to find!!!!

One more pour and this bottle is done. Progress in making some room. Cheers.

Can’t make room with that empty bottle. Definitely going to need another one. That’s a bar staple!

The 1920 is my favorite of their shelfies. Their SB Barrel Proofs can be really tasty too. I've got some extra OF SB barrel proofs if you need one.

Popped this tonight. Was hoping to crack it after my Bengals won the Super Bowl, well that dream died two weeks ago. 5D21DA32-D4A8-469D-97A3-10BBA84A4AF9.jpg
