I currently have a stock 4x4 Access Cab with the rear spring TSB. Right now the back sits a little higher than the front. I want to step up into the cool kid group (new tires, wheels, and 3 inch lift) :). My question is how would (what would) i need to do to get my 3 inch toy tech lift set up right. Would I need to take off the rear spring tsb, and use the toytech AAL? and set the 5100's to 2.5? or should i not even get the full 3 in leaf kit, and just buy the pre-assembled coils with 5100's?

After all my research i think the following statement are true...right?

1.) if you have the rear TSB and want to level out the truck set your front 5100's to 1.75.

2.)If you want closer to factory rake: set the 5100's to .85....am i right with this?

Can i just install the 5100's up front, set them at 2.5 AND put the toytech AAL on WITH the rear spring tsb AAL? Has anyone done this?

I guess my main question is: I will be using the toytech 3 inch lift kit to lift my truck, I have the rear TSB...what is the best way to bo about doing this.

PS: I'm looking for as cose to 3'' of lift as possible without needing UCA's

I know there are a lot of questions above, but would love for someone to help out.

    thanks guys!!!

Toytec offers a 1.5" AAL that most use with their TSB leaf.

great! Thanks man! So what should i set the fronts at?

And if anyone has this setup now...i'd love to hear feedback on how the ride is?

ALSO..looks like ToyTec is running a sale on 3 inch lift kits w/radflow suspension:

same price as the 5100 set up.....is one better than the other?

Up for debate... you'll get mixed reviews depending on who you ask.

You need to measure the difference front vs. rear and go from there. It sounds like you really want a 3" lift so why not just get a good set of coilovers so you can set it to your liking whether you plan on going up to a 3" lift later or not. You may be happy with it set at 2.5 with your TSB.

Yes. To add, Any lift 2.5" or higher, and your going to need aftermarket UCA's to get the alignment in check.

Chris..why do you think it is better? am i correct in saying that the OME kits with the correct springs will be better than MAXING out the 5100's at 2.5?

The OME shocks are valved a little softer than the 5100's.

I have the Toytec Ultimate with a set of Light Racing UCA's and a 1.5" Toytec AAL w/TSB. I am about .5" higher in the rear..looks really good. I didn't adjust the CO's and just left them the way they came from Toytec. I am sitting around 2.75" higher and running 285/65/18's with some slight trimming (nothing major).

I would go with a set of Light Racing because they are excellent quality and are around $450.00 without a discount.

I am looking into some spindles right now because the 3" kit can ride a little rough.

Ok so there's many threads about lifts n the endless possibilities of parts combos. Here's what I'm lookin at. I do moderate wheelin. Central PA has old logging roads that are washed and some rocky/rutted sections to crawl around on. I was looking at the OME nitros and 885s because I'm gonna get skids from ATO soon as my suspensions done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ill need an 1.5" AAL in the rear to level it with the front. I'm gonna have skids and sliders so this is the reason for the 885s. Id like to run a 285/75/16s. Am I better off to use the OME setup or go with coilovers? I don't wanna hafta tear my shocks off periodically to have them rebuilt though.
