Got an alignment scheduled for Friday morning at a local custom shop. National chains didn't want to touch it lol. Fine with me.

Do an alignment on my new suspension and steering. With KP offroad alignment cams.

NTB was like, "ooh no my guys only know how to work on factory spec stuff". I said, "ok I'll just call someone else then."

It's all stock, except for the alignment cams.

How exactly to you expect to get an alignment into spec with stock upper control arms and those alignment cams? That's going to be impossible.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
He might get close enough if he forgets about dialing caster, he can get camber zeroed or a tiny bit negative and toed, good enough for tire wear. Might be kinda weird on road if there isn't enough caster but that's a problem no matter what with stock uppers.

    Eh maybe.

I mean I don't think the castor makes a big enough difference personally to sweat it. I drove for years on 0º and then went to like 4.5-5.5º and it just made the steering heavier. Toe and camber seem to affect the way these truck behave manner wise way way more with the way the suspension cycles. If that stuff is off a bit, shit gets squirrelly.

I just don't believe you can dial in the camber within a good tolerance without some kind of adjustment in the UCA/UBJ with those cam locks. Doesn't seem like it anyways. They don't have enough fine adjustment.

Do you have trailer wiring back there by chance? I was getting weird signals when I tried plugging my old one back in but I think it's just the actual trailer wiring itself. It's pretty gnarly and old

Yes, and it looks janky. We’ll see what it does when the time comes. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to fasten the new third brake light back on. I got the old one off easy enough. Just pried the headliner down a bit to fit my tiny hands back there.

I remember that being a pain but hard to remember exactly what I used 1/4 racket or a flex head ratcheting wrench?

Just Diy it. You won't have adjustment to really dial things in. A tape measure, smart level and a straight edge the diameter of your wheel is all you really need.
