Convert 6" lift coil overs to standard?

So when I originally bought my truck it had a 6" drop bracket kit on it.

I decided to make the 6" lift as "done right" as you can, and I bought full length 6" Fox coil overs and full custom leaf packs for it.

In the end I still hated the drop bracket lift, though and I ended up having a shop fab me a crossmember and dropping back down to a 3" using OME nitrochargers.

I still have the Fox full length 6" coil overs. Before I try to sell them I'm curious as to whether or not I can make use of them.

My question is this... is there a way to convert the 6" lift coil overs to standard 2-3" coil overs? Different rod ends possibly?

The travel is the same so it makes me think it might be possible...

Can't convert them, longer body, longer rod end, longer spring etc... You have to compare shock lengths, not travel.

Anything is possible with enough time and money!

You will need to replace everything in between the upper and lower mount to convert to a shorter length shock. It's probably best to sell them and buy the correct shocks from accutune!

 

Yeah I was hoping it would just be a change of rod end and not a big deal. Definitely more efficient just to sell these and buy new ones once the nitrochargers go bad.

My full length bilsteins are about 5 1/2 years old

 

25k-ish? Not exactly sure. No leaks or squeaks then I took them off of the truck. I've got Fox 2.0 rears too...
