That can neither be confirmed nor denied.

But when I was working with them in 2009...it was EXTREMELY cool stuff.

I just found this thread! I am a 19 year old Private Pilot, I've been flying since I was 15. Both my parents are pilots, my mom is an Airbus First Officer for American, and my dad teaches Airbus Systems for American. He has his CFI checkride on march 1st. Here's what I currently fly:

    N92855.jpg

I am in my sophomore year of Air Force ROTC at my college on scholarship, hoping to get a pilot slot. I just got pilot qualified (I wear glasses) two weeks ago. Heres what I hope to fly sometime down the road!

If the USAF picks you up into a flying program they'll do your LASIK. I had dozens of unit members getting free USAF LASIK to give the doctors at Wilford Hall "practice."

Thats my plan, hopefully. My uncle (a retired Army Lt. Col.) got his paid for by the Army even though he technically didn't need it as he was an intel officer.

Downrange, glasses can get broken or lost. Good eyesight is as desirable as healthy teeth. From a force-readiness perspective this is a "no-brainer."

A number of my friends are happy with their LASIK surgery.

For myself, I would want to understand all of the risk/benefits, especially when someone is cutting into my eyeballs. Below is what I would send to any student I had considering the surgery:

Took my oldest up for a San Francisco Bay tour. It's really one of my favorite things to be able to share flying with him!

I see he has a drink. How long did it take before he needed to pee?

lol. He’s pretty self aware these days and it was only an hour flight.

While I think adoption is great, I think two kids is my max. I’d be happy to take people flying though!

    DMAFB?

I was there 92-95, moving 12th AF from Bergstrom and taking over the GLCM buildings. I'm sure it's all changed...but it sure does look like Customs is still flying those Blackhawks.

Does that T-72 static display still run? They used to fire it up every so often and convert diesel to pollution and noise.

Was supposed to be on terminal leave at the time, but uncle Sam said "nope, go accept this plane." We polished a giant turd and flew it home a couple weeks later.

Sweet! One of my friends in ROTC who is commissioning as a maintenance officer at the end of the semester is going to an Osprey unit!

Nice! 22's are definitely an interesting platform. They've come a long way since their debut for sure.

Dang. I've passed everything for DODMERB, but if I get picked up for a rated slot I will need to pass a pilot physical still. Fingers crossed!

    Run, monkey. Run.

They like runners. They're thinner and fit into planes easier.
