Front is bilstein 6112 with the circlip one setting down from the highest, spc upper control arms. Rear is OME/Dakar leafs and bilstein 5100 (I think) rear shocks. Wheels are the 17x8.5s with -10mm offset and 265/70/17 tires.

I’ve been running 33/1050s since 2011 and am on the second set which are showing signs of needing replacement. I have been considering dropping down to a 31” tire for highway drivability and this pic has pushed me over the ledge to do so. Thank you for such a pristine 1st gen.

Ha! Pristine, that's a good one! Pretty crazy what a good detail will do though. I like this tire size because I can run 80 down the highway if I need to. I'll snap a couple different angles for you later today.

    Thank you sir!

Couple different angles. Sometimes I wish I went with 285 70s, but these work well with the factory gearing.

Mine is a ‘99 and I can fit 15” wheels so I do for the ease of finding tires. 33s on stock 3rz gearing is doable and I’ve done it for over 100k miles but it’s bothersome on the highway. I can forget about 2lane passing without a bump draft, downhill run, and a mile of straight.

So I’ve been looking at 31s and some off brands have some decent looking treads.
These are made in Philippines I think and have caught my eye.

Two guys at work running f2fiddies have these in 35/1250-20. One is a 7.3 and the other 6.0. Both swear by them.

Yeah that would be a problem here in Texas. Everyone drive 80+ on the highway. I have known some people who ran the Ironman tires and liked them.

This is where I’m racking up my highway miles in the oilfields. I20 out as far as Pecos and as far north as Carlsbad. Been actually making a run to Hobbs the last 5-6 months. I have and use a set of 5 wheels/tires which helps tremendously for wear when rotated every 6-8k miles. I’ve got close to 80k miles on this last set.

Eats up sloppy lease roads though.

Nice! Yeah it bet it does good out there. We make it out that way once a year or so to alpine or Marfa and then go to big bend. Cruise is usually set at 85 on the highway haha. That's in the 4runner though.

The 85mph cruise does better than 70-75 as the RPMs are up enough to power through.

Thanks, it's custom made from a stock bumper.
