    Nice!

It was +2 here today (34f?) so I took advantage of the day. Warmest day in months. Two hours of windy AF gravel. Back to well below zero starting tomorrow.

Really looking forward to Arizona in just over a month.

That would be perfect timing then!
He’s an adventurous little guy, not scared of too much. I’ll take him out when he’s ready to hold on right.

Selling one of my Vitus 979s to help pay for a used XS 140mm full squish bike for my 11yo daughter. She’s going to learn I’m not cool pretty soon and not want to ride with me anymore. Thinking I’ll sell the white one because I unabashedly love the anodized red and have the faster wheelset on it too.

I have one bud. Brand new in the box, I switched to SRAM immediately when my bike was bought. It's off the older TORCH hub, not sure if thats what you need or if it's compatible with the HYDRA or 1/1. If it will work for you shoot a msg and an offer.

Oh you will for sure. Levi looks big but is only 19 months. He’s 98 percentile height/weight but is only as coordinated as your average kid.

Shipping the pants to NF today. It’s about $16 to ship to them and I’m hoping in transport back I can combine shipping with an order. If not shipping being 30 kinda sucks, but I’m glad they’re offering a repair at all on a crash related failure.

it ripped the stitches out on the pocket, so they may even look into making certain areas stronger when doing repair work like this. Who knows. :notsure:

Anyone ever do the logistics of renting a bike vs shipping for a trip? Looks like a decent rental for St. George, Utah is about $100/day, but can't seem to figure out what insurance would run with that. There is a peace of mind in using a rental bike and beating on that, also just grabbing it and going when we land counts for something. Shipping (or checking on the plane) costs a bit extra for my bike, but its the bike I am comfortable with and was made for the riding out there. Takes a little time to build it back up at the house before riding and hopefully there are no mechanical issues during a ride.

Also if you rent a bike, do they have a variety of pedals to chose from, or do they throw flats on it and say good luck out there?

Check this page out, they explain what comes with the rentals. This shop is in Hurricane just outside of St George.

A lot of rental shops I've been to are BYO pedals, but also, rental places in CO that Ive been to that have locations in STG (over the edge) have had decent flats come on the bike. Always worth a call, or just tossing your pedals in your checked bag.

dang, are they tight in that area for you? Mine aren't busting at the seems but they are noticeably tighter in my quads than the rest of the pants. At least they are going to fix them. I wouldn't hesitate taking that kind of repair to a good tailor though. I had one tailor replace a jersey zipper better than new a few years ago.

I typically bring my own bike (unless I want to demo something different). Bikes travel free for most airlines but I do understand how much of a PITA it is to pack and lug your own bike. If I do demo, I bring my own pedals, shoes and helmet.

Last time I rented was in UP Michigan/WI and the shop was cool and gave me a 5 day rental fee of ~$280 for a Cannodale Trigger.
And then just said if I broke anything pay the cost plus labor.
Break the bike and you bought it though.
Not a clue about shipping? But keep in mind lost/damaged/ delayed in transit.

You may want to check with I9 and see if its compatible. I was told the 1/1 hubs are the old TORCH hubs. Trust me if they're compatible it will be worth the phone call to I9. This thing is just sitting here for 3 yrs in a box and needs a good home.
