I’d like to upgrade my front suspension to B8 8112.
    • How long until I need to upgrade the rear Suspension?
    • Can I start with AAL or do the whole back end at once?
    • What combinations have folks upgraded their suspension in
    • what is the time in between upgrades.
    • Should I just save until I can do it all at once

Save yourself some labor. Do all four corners at once.

Otherwise it looks goofy as hell.

What is the purpose of your upgrade? Just need new struts and shock? You want ride height? You going extreme offroad? Are you doing the labor yourself?

What is the purpose of your upgrade? Weekend warrior plus daily driver
Just need new struts and shock? You want ride height? Lift for ground clearance plus adjustable control
You going extreme offroad? I like that option
Are you doing the labor yourself? Yes

Go ahead and do the front first if that is what you want to do. It will all depend on how much lift you are planning to do. If you do 1.5 inch and below then you wont have to redo it when do the rear. Anything higher i would do the whole suspension at the same time to save time and trouble. You can drive the front upgrade for as long as you need if you are within 1inch of stock height. I just upgraded my rear to 5160 and kept the front stock for the time being and it drive better than stock without issue.

Suspension is here. Icon Rxt leaf springs are being shipped. What advice do you have for doing this install myself.

I did 2" in the front, and did my 1' rear block couple a weeks later, when it came in. Looked a little funny without the rear block.

If you live in the rust belt like me then you need everything. Spray w40 on all bolts a day ahead. 2 metal brush. 1 full bottle of torch. A very nice milwaukee vice grip. Torque wrench. A set of metric tools. Maybe a saw or some kind of metal cutter in case the bolt get stuck and dont move no matter what you do. If you dont have rust then you dont have to worry.
