Damn buddy, is winter over with on the mountain?

I tried to loosen up the left rear upper shock mount on the 4runner, getting ready to take it to the neighbor that is going to weld on the new upper mounts. I have forgotten how absolutely miserable getting access to that upper bolt was. I ended up using vise grips with a 14mm deep socket but I still couldn't get the nuts off. I'm just going to take the cutoff wheel to it tomorrow after work, I boogered up the top of the shaft when the channel locks slipped off of the bottom of the eyelet, there's no reusing this shock on something else anymore.

 

Anyone need a roof rack? No more use for it as i traded the Hummer for a Taco… Looking to sell locally, asking $100

this place is right behind my house but never been, their carts are electric and i heard they're fast as hell. That might be part of my birthday party this year, ill take the wife & daughter. Late night on the weekends i can hear everyone leaving at closing. Lots of burnouts, donuts, & illegal street racing back there in that industrial park

Beautiful morning for a bike ride on the C&O Canal.

 

We went for my birthday (and someone gave us a giftcard). I thought it was a blast, but my wife did not enjoy it. Heats are 12 laps and they run you at 3/4 speed for the first 6-8 then open it up for the last 4-5 laps. We kinda got thrown into our first heat and she didn't get a chance to watch and ask questions, plus she was sent out on the track first and didn't know what to do. We had some competitive racers in the heat and I think she got bumped hard a few times and it ruined her excitement.

I've heard that between Greenbelt metro, Ikea, Laurel DMV and the industrial parks up to Columbia that corridor has a streetcar meetup nearly every Friday/Saturday. Would definitely annoy me if I heard it all the time.

 

The trail looks pretty dry, the GF and I almost went riding there last Saturday but thought that it would be very wet from all of the previous rain.
