    i think u will also need an input from ur reverse signal to. so it can turn on the lights when that input comes on. but not sure if that will mess up the switched input

    i think what u could do is make that 12v signal from the battery the voltage from ur reverse lights. i think that would work too

    so if i took a hot to the switch then the output from the switch combined with reverse lights into pin 86 would work
