What do you guys recommend for a good aluminum skid plate? I plan on keeping this truck stock for a while but eventually want to do some mods and get a full set of skids.

Hard to go wrong with the factory TRD skid plate. I have the knock off version of it.

Why aluminum? Get steel, doesn't "stick" on rocks but is heavier.

Maybe RCI or Cali Raised as they both have panels for the oil filter.

I have the steel Cali-Raised and am happy with it.
Take a look at the rest of the pieces to make sure you like the way they look too. The RCI you can get attached cat guards.

    Check build thread!
I wouldn’t go TRD. I have one. If you do any serious off-roading, go with a RCI steel one. Don’t get me wrong, the TRD one does work, just when you get more serious you cave it in and it snaps. Like mine did.

I, on the other hand, generally prefer not using my daily driver to plow the boulder farm.

The knockoff TRD skid works great for light to moderate protection.

OEM TRD plate is nice and fits like a glove.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
Can't speak for cali. I've never had any of their gear. But I love love love my RCI plates. They sell all three main ones in a set. They are simple to install. Check their site frequently. They have 20% off and free shipping sales all the time.
