Quite surprised how smooth my 2020 v6 idles...several times i had to hit the go petal to hear if the engine was running.

maine law cannot exceed 10% has to be 10% or less.. by law it is marked on all pumps... and I beleive this to be true in all of new england (ME, MA, NH, VT)..

I have the 2.7L and at idle the engine switches between a "normal" idle to a "low speed" idle. Its done on purpose to raise mpg and emissions...at least for the 2.7L
It cycles like clockwork....and I would say that the cycle time is about every 15 seconds of idle time it will drop to "low speed" idle for about 10 seconds.

My 2023 has felt like a massage chair at stop lights with all the idle vibrations since I drove it off the lot. Please tell me it gets better

New 2023 Pro 1500 miles, mine idles rough also at stoplights/only in drive - put it in park it’s fine. Slight shudder in floorboard & steering wheel @ 600 RPM/no CEL. It’s strange to me, and for a new vehicle unsat - still learning the 3.5 behaviors, if this is “normal” my Toyota ownership experience might be cut short.

It's a noisier more mechanical running engine, but not sure what's meant by vibration. That doesn't seem normal. I haven't noticed anything like that in my 2020 3.5. This engine runs just as smooth as my 4.7 v8 did....even sounds exactly the same when first started on cold high idle.

Vibration (non teeth rattle) - as in slight shudder at idle/5-600RPM - not smooth/synchronized how it is the other 68% of the time. Reminds me of a 1980s go kart with a 5HP Briggs & Stratton actually when the idle isn’t dialed in. Symptoms only in “Drive” at stop signs or red lights. A video doesn’t really do it justice - needle doesn’t jump or anything like that - just a slight shudder for a few seconds stopped.

Interesting, what’s it idle at in Drive? 650-750 is the target idle speed in neutral according to the yotaxperts.

My 2023 sr5 v6 idles pretty dam rough in drive. 500rpm. 275 miles no engine light and runs super smooth when regularly driving . Very odd . I filled up with 93 octane top tier Exxon gas and so far no difference

I responded on the other thread for this. ‘23 OR with 1400 miles and rough idle in drive only. Raising to 650-700 goes away. I have my first service in December. I’ll be sure to mention it, so they proceed to tell me it’s normal.

My 3.5 idles smoother than my 4.0 did. But my 3.0 Diesel in my Sprinter van is SMOOOTH

It seems to be a 2023 issue. I’m thinking they changed something for emissions. Thinking a tsb to correct is in the near future

Thats too low if in the D mode idling, my truck is at least 150 rpm higher. I wonder if its a throttle body issue for your truck being that low.

Hmm interesting I don’t remember what my last truck idled at. Would you mind snapping a picture for me of your truck idling warmed up of the tachometer ?

My truck idles at 500 RPM in D also, smooth as glass. Full disclosure, I do have a KDMax tune.
