    15 years and with the oem radio. How? Why? I had the same radio in mine and couldn't deal with it, replaced it with a bluetooth one with all the bells and whistles. I needed music or something to drone out the wife. :rofl:

    Oh I would like to replace it but priorities. When I do go somewhere by myself long distance I just bring some CDs . I’m retired so I don’t drive every day .

    I went with this one since the one I originally wanted which was far less was sold out at the time.

    I am also retired, have a 2008 and don't drive every day. Now that I have replaced that terrible factory stereo, adding a rear camera and better speakers, I find myself wanting to drive every day. I had a 3rd gen for over 5 years and, after selling it, I really missed having a touch screen with things like navigation and hands free bluetooth. It gives my old 2008 truck a modern feel. It really adds pleasure to the drive.

    I didn't try hard. light buffing didn't do anything but I didn't get the drill out to try. It ate threw the clear and into the paint a little bit. The first set I got that I emailed them about had the same issue where one side wouldn't go across and attach to the other. Measuring them, the one was about half in inch to long to fit. Here is a pic of the damage. Its kind of hard to tell with the rain and light.

    @BigCountry762x39 If you have the earlier Tacoma's 2005-2011, those wont work. Just fyi. I emailed them a few months ago and asked. They said they wouldn't work and they don't have any plans on making a version of the earlier years at the moment.

    There was someone a while back that figured out that there are just a couple wires that need to be swapped and order a new bezel from Amazon to make it work for 2.0 gen. I don't remember who or when but it was when this mod blew up. I would have saved it but I put this on my long list and figured I could ask who did if I ever get around to it.

    It just tricks the alternator and causes it to boost output voltage into a range more acceptable for charging AGM batteries.

    The toggle on this one is for a low voltage boost of 0.4-0.5 or high boost of 0.8-1.0.
