Took a tumble yesterday. Smack face down on the deck. Knocked me for a loop, busted up my glasses, bloodied my nose. Tripped on something, banged my knee, but that’s OK. Lost my shoe, hurt my pride and my dick doesn’t work so good now.

 

Please quit doing that s**t. When there's blood it's no longer funny.

Afternoon all:

Enjoying the warm weather we're having, yesterday changed oil in the Tacoma, and today was knocking down some briars along the edge of the yard.
Geez Alan, need to be more careful if at all possible, as I get older it seems like I go down harder, been lucky so far on the last couple spills I took where my feet went out from under me and I landed on my back after slipping on ice and then mud.

 

I went for another hike in the woods yesterday and paying the price today, legs have been cramping bad. My Brittany, Ellie, needed some woods time, we covered about 5 miles. It wouldn't be so bad except every third step or so I'd break through the top crust of snow and drop a foot. Ellie did manage a nice point on a grouse but got really spooked on the hike back out....hadn't seen her do that before. Lots of wolf tracks where we were.

 

When out in the woods/wilderness always pay close attention to your dogs instincts and senses. Their sense of smell and hearing are far beyond ours. They also have other senses we don’t even understand. Paying attention to my dog and listening to my instincts has saved my ass on a number of occasions in the wilderness. (I also don’t venture afield unarmed)

 

I had a rifle and pistol on me...all good. It's 3,500 acres of public land, 1/4 mile from my house, that I hike/hunt a LOT.

 

damn Alan. Did you get checked out. Sounds like you did quite some damage especially when a certain appendage ain't working . Take care.

Had my routine over 65 low dose cat scan lung screening this morning along with the also routine abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound scan. Nice to make one trip to imaging and get both back to back. Breakfast on the way home. Have a local business development board meeting at noon and then off to the gym.
