2023 new owners

I just got my 2023 last week, got 84/160000 no deals and it may cost more after you leave dealer, saw a Toyota doc on fees apx 100-150$ more if you didn't buy at time of sale...Still sellers market atm

 

They wanted $2400.00 for 10/100000 I said nope.

 

That's about what I paid for 7yrs 3849CAD ~2800+usd

 

Computers are pricey and getting lazy with age lol

Got the Lomax Stance in urethane installed over the weekend
Exceeded my expectations!

Note the black rooftop brackets installed on passenger and driver side. This is used to hold the cover in the vertical position instead of leaning against the window. I wasn’t entirely sold on if I would install or not but the finish looks oem. They are magnetic (very strong) and double sticky tape to secure to vehicle. I am completely confident that the cover will hold in the vertical position.

Does anyone have experience with this head unit upgrade? I couldn’t find a trail edition with a JBL system. So looking for an upgraded head unit system and speakers.

 

MGM is a great color, and 23 will be the only year for it on the Trail, so it should be fairly rare. I've only seen two other Trails so far where I live, and they were both LR.

I really should take more pics than I do. Here's one with a little dust and mud. The wheels are pretty dusty here, so they look less bronze than when they're clean. That said, even when it's clean I feel like the MGM makes the bronze pop a little less than it does on the other colors.

 

Nice. I really wanted Lunar Rock but finding one that wasn’t already claimed within 500 miles of me was impossible. I wanted a Trail Edition because of the uniqueness of it. I haven’t seen any in the wild where I live.

 

Believe it or not I actually had my choice of Trail colors when I made my deposit last Aug/Sep. I shied away from LR because I'm just not sure it will still look cool 8-10 years from now. I generally like a white vehicle, but I was scared off by all the reports of peeling. I initially chose black, but then thought about it over a weekend and switched to MGM. No regrets given the four choices available, although I do wish Toyota had chosen maybe the red or blue instead of MGM this year. Both would have looked killer with the bronze Trail accents. AG was the perfect color for the Trail, and I was really bummed that they discontinued it for 23.

 

Got my 2023 a few weeks ago.
Already got a Softopper for it.
I was able to get the dealer ”down” to MSRP.

 

‘16 ‘18 now ‘23 these trucks are not perfect (but what is?) but they are 100% awesome. This is the last year to still get the same basic bones dating back to the heroic 2nd gen Taco powered by the last of the legendary Toyota V6’s. I highly recommend you get one before they’re gone.

 

I was disappointed as well when it was discontinued . Army Green is the best color with the bronze. I was a little worried that Lunar Rock wouldn’t be good in a couple year too. Same thoughts on white color. I only like metallic black colors not flat black as swirl marks appear too easily. I hope I like it in person when I get it.

 

MGM is a great color. Barcelona Red is also really growing on me. I think a Trail in Barcelona with the bronze wheels would look great. Also sad that Army Green was discontinued fro 2023, that was my favorite Taco color of the last few years.

 

two weeks in almost 2k miles. Already did the maiden voyage from Palm Springs to San Francisco and back. Only complaint is CarPlay buzzing for receiving callers, which sucks hopefully it will get fixed but so far dealer said they can’t do anything.

 

Wow I have had my new Tacoma 3 months and just put gas in for first time 251 miles lol That's a very nice truck and you are having more fun than me!

 

I don’t know the pictures of the MGM with bronze on the dealer website aren’t great. Color doesn’t look very metallic at all and the bronze doesn’t really stand out. Hopefully in person it’s a little better.

 

Brand new white limited long bed 4 door, gonna be a pavement princess (because I’ve already got a 24 year old first gen to continue to beat the piss out of), bought yesterday, put 150 miles on it yesterday and today, I love it!

 

I’m heading to the dealership this weekend to see if I can get my hands on a 2023 MGM tacoma limited nightshade edition, but I fear I’ll have to order it cause it’s somewhat rare. Any idea on how long this order could possibly take?

 

It took 5 months to get my 2023 TRD Offroad Premium 4wd with LED headlights(must have). I read of folks with times much less all the way to slightly more. There's a HUGE thread about on wait times that I found helpful while I was waiting. This thread eventually provided me with info that allowed me to track the truck. I thought this thread was in the stickies but I just looked and didn't see it there.
