Can someone ID this hose for me please? Toyota part dept. can’t seem to.
2006 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L 4wd. Hose goes from front of air cleaner and underneath to metal valve on top of valve cover. Pcv in?? E51D877D-0483-4B45-AD03-F2A4629694DE.jpg7E010658-A561-4B7C-9187-C13820391B77.jpg

You are correct. Those clamps and hose belong to the PCV valve. You can easily replace the hose with regular bulk hose from any auto parts store. No need to get the oem part if you’re in a pinch.

Looks like OP's question was answered in this separate thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/help-identify-this-hose.792888/#post-28397118

Although I'll just add the illustration provided in that post was from the 3rd Gen 3.5 engine. This is the correct one for the 2nd Gen 4.0:

I'll also just add for clarity sake a cleaner example picture (not my truck) of the actual hose install, since the one OP provided is such low quality/resolution.

    What it is:
I don't think that's the PCV hose on a 4.0L 1GR-FE engine. It is related to the "PCV hose," (which Toyota refers to as "#1 Ventilation Hose,") being part of the same crankcase ventilation system, but it's a different part number.

OP's photo, though blurry, clearly shows the hose running along the front of the engine, connecting just before the throttle body. Toyota refers to the hose in OP's photo as "the #2 Ventilation Hose." (At least in the Toyota engine diagrams I'm looking at. They may have alternative names for it that I'm unaware of.)

The Toyota part # for the #2 Ventilation Hose for the 4.0L 1GR-FE engine is 12262-31030.

It's probably OK to use generic/non-Toyota hose for this application, but be sure that it is double-insulated (like the OEM hose) along the portion that runs under the air intake & right next to the crank case, and that the insulation is rated for a reasonable amount of heat. (? 200-250ºF or so? Ballpark. )

    What it does:
The job of this hose is to supply clean, filtered air, under mild pressure, to the crank case.

Pressurized, filtered air is pushed out of the port in the air intake (just before the throttle body, where air pressure is higher) through "#2 Ventilation Hose," down into the top of the passenger-side of the crank case.

That air flows through the crankcase, picking up crank case vapors, and is then sucked out (by engine intake vaccuum) through the PCV valve mounted on the outside of the driver's side of the crankcase, through "#1 ventilation hose." This hose carries the dirty crank case air back up to the air intake, where it is dumped back into the intake manifold -- downstream of the throttle body. From there, the crankcase-vapor-laden air is then sucked into the cylinders (along with fuel) & burned.
