How long did it take you to drive it home? I placed my order 1/24. The dealer told me, and I expected, they would try and locate one to trade somewhere in the country. After about a week they called me back to say, they got one that was being built to my specs on 3/7!!! So Ive been patiently waiting for this week... and here it is!!!

Considering I've been told "estimated build week" and the factory is in Texas, and I'm in St. Louis. What do you all think, will I have it by St. Patty's Day?

Will I be able to run over a drunken leprechaun in Soulard with my new '11? (sorry for the insider STL joke)

I'm hoping for a speedy delivery, and a small leprechaun that does little to no damage! What do you all think, will it be more close to the end of the month? Does anyone know how many hours they say a Tacoma takes?

    Build:
2011 Access Cab V6 MGM TRD Sport
    6 Speed TRD Shifter
    Tow Package
    7 Speaker Stereo w/ sub
    TRD Exhaust
    TRD Skidplate
(wanted trd intake, but I've been told 2011 is not available, which is contrary to the TRD parts catalog....but thats another post)

Do you mean it took a month after your estimated build week? I'm looking for a little perspective based on how long between build and delivery, not how long it took overall.

It took me six weeks to get mine. I wasn't in a rush, so the wait wasn't a big deal, and at the end of the day, I got the exact truck i wanted, and every time I turn the key, I couldn't be happier!

It took approx 1 month from the factory order to receipt.

I picked mine up from the distribution point rather than at the dealers location because it was closer and drove it home.

Mine was fully loaded because I checked all the blocks when I ordered it.

MSRP $34.5K and got it for $27.5K, which inc a $1,5K rebate from Toyota.:D

30 days to get mine. I bought mine in Texas, but wanted 4x4 because I knew that I would have to drive in snow in Korea. Apparently, 4x4's are somewhat hard to come by in Texas. The dealership claimed that other dealers would not trade. They also told me at the time, that there were only 6 4x4's in the state.

I ordered one in late jan. and was told ~60 days to wait. And whoever said that there are only 6 4x4s in Texas is wrong, theres at least 6 at the local dealer where I am... Unless they have them all, haha

The bullshit of the ordering process is you can't actually order a truck in my northeast region.
You put your specifications in and then they search for one that is "close" to what you want. If it is not close then they tell you it is not available. I was on the wait list for 60 days to get what I want, and they didn't have it. Therefore I had to compromise some options.
For some reason toyota wouldn't build my options I wanted. So stupid.
The intake is available for 2011 and sitting under my hood as we speak. Again the dealers will lie and BS you about options. I had to pay a 500 dollar transport fee to get my truck from another state....so in essence I lost my rebate. I spoke to the regional manager who confirmed the situation, so it is not dealer specific.
    buyer beware....

It was February 2010 when I ordered mine. One year ago, 4x4's were hard to come by in Texas. That is what the dealer told me. They thought they had a line on one, but the other dealership did not want to play ball with my dealership.
