You are aware "Stock" for SR, Sport, TRD OR, TRD pro are all different. So does that statement cover all stock suspension?

I’m really enjoying my OME 2887 coils, nitro charger soft valved shocks and medium dobinsons leafs.

Removed swaybar and it rides so much better. Why did I wait almost 5 years…

My toothpick hitachis did great off-road for about 4 years. I just got tired of driving slow due to shock stiffness and I wanted a lift. SR/SR5 have got softer hitachi shocks so they would work just fine off-road.

Surprisingly im still running my stock needle bearing. 2” lift and quite a few rough wheeling trips, truck drives smooth as glass on highway.

Hmm, have not noticed that with my hitachis.

6112s are definitely an upgrade over stock.

Free or cheap OEM TRD OR take offs.
Or the SR5 or Pro options.

Best ride for what you’ve described.

What model truck do you have, miles on it, and why do you need an 'upgrade', do you have a budget?

You don't mention wanting a lift, so ignore many previous posts.

I run all OME but their heavy setup.
    886 springs
    Nitrocharger Sport Strut
    HD dakar leaf packs

I have no steel bumper + winch and removed the sway bar. I don't find the ride to be rough at all.
    Only got sliders.

Best is relative. Best for .....

Regardless, you will just get a list of what everyone currently has installed.

I have a medium duty OME setup. OME struts, 887 coils, OME leaf springs. Definitely not the best, but great for what it is and what it cost. I mainly did it for the added load capacity and ability to lift and fit bigger tires.

I agree to an extent, but if you live anywhere with rolling whoop sections on the forest/blm roads the stock shocks are going to fade very quickly. Really the only reason I went with 6112/5160.

I was referring to the stock Bilstein's on the TRD OR trim. I haven't driven a Sport or an SR. I rode in a TRD Pro at Barrett Jackson on an offroad course with a "professional driver" and I wasn't overly impressed when compared to the TRD OR Bilstein's. Especially when you consider the price premium. The Pro shocks bottomed out way too easy and the bump stops were constantly hitting. However, it was only about a five minute ride and the TRD OR Bilstein's probably would have struggled on that course too.

The driver claimed he raced trophy trucks and was partial to King as he was sponsored by them. I went with Fox elite's for the added anti corrosion features, the discount I got on them and a few other reasons mentioned here...

    https://accutuneoffroad.com/fox-vs-king-oem-coilovers/

Unrelated, but I rode in Ram TRX on the same course and that truck rode phenomenal with the factory Bilstein's even when jumped.

If I were to pick again it would be one of these: stock TRD OR Bilsteins, 6112/5160, or king/fox elite 2.5's.

Eibach Stage 2 with extra leaf....the front is adjustable, I went with 2 inch which is how they came, rear will increase height about 1.5 inches after settle, the extra leaf will balance out the truck nicely, ride is good, handles front end compressions well.

Now a days, people sell used king shocks for the price of new and use the excuse of "no lead time" as reasoning for their absurd pricing.
