Where do you move A/C lines and place SAIS for TRD Gen 2 intake? The lines seem to be in the way so the box won't sit

 

Some people say the lines can be moved out of the way. In my case, they wouldn't move far enough, and I didn't want to stress the joint.

So, I trimmed the lower corner of the airbox to fit around the A/C lines. The opening is on the dirty air side of the filter, so if you leave it open, the only detriment is drawing in warm air off the engine. You weld/glue a piece of plastic to the inside to block the opening, if you so desire.

 

The market for these is about to get overinflated...

 

Damn right. I’m looking for a set as well. Preferably without SAIS but I’ll take any Spec-U at this point. Can always lob off the SAIS tubes for my 2007.

 

I have a Doug Thorley midpipe w/o cats but with resonators for sale if anyone is interested. Denver area pickup preferred but could probably ship it unboxed if one desires. Had it welded together so it's one piece instead of two it came in

None taken. They also make a track spec one that I was curious about. And they make one for my mom's car which I'm tempted to order for her install it w/o letting her know to get a blind test for any noticable improvements

 

Has anyone gotten a transmission tuned from @JustDSM without a valve body upgrade ?

I’m noticing some shift flaring, but not sure what option may be best for a college budget.

Id think the tune would only be able to maximize what’s (insufficiency) physically available in the trans, but I could be very wrong.

worth it to tune without the upgraded valve body ?

 

put a bigger pulley on and you won’t have the shift flaring

 

It can be addressed without the valvebody.
