Check out this short video I made for the Installation on my 2015 TRD Pro! I was honestly surprised how nice the truck drives after install.

    https://youtu.be/8ci3eme7L5w

The entire install took less than 1 hour and was completed with basic hand tools. This system is unique in that it improves ride quality, load carrying capacity, towing stability/handling, and reduces squat with or without a load in all driving situations. The truck feels more solid around turns and even reduced axle wrap. Unlike airbags, this system doesn't need maintenance or adjustments which is great because it also has a 5-year warranty made in the USA.

The 2015 TRD Pro comes from the Toyota factory in Texas with a 2" lift in the front and 0" lift in the rear, but over time the rear leaf springs were noticeably sagging. The rear measured 0.5" lower than the front, so something had to be done!

The RoadActive Suspension kit has two settings. The first setting (1mm white disk) adds 25% additional carrying load. The second setting (2mm black disk) increases the load carrying capacity to 40% over the factory.

Typically these trucks come from the factory with 1" higher rear to accommodate for loading/towing and this kit lifts the rear 1.5" to give this truck the perfect stance! Now the rear is 1" higher than the front and it looks great again with no more sag.

Only 1,200 examples of the 2015 TRD Pro were ever produced and less than 500 in the world came with the Inferno Orange paint!

So why go with something like this over a new leaf pack? Seems like this just adds progressive spring support, which is exactly what leaf springs do.

Yes I thought about replacing entire leaf pack, but the additional labor involved plus the parts would have been around double the cost of this setup. Not only that, but most leaf packs I saw were a 2”-3” rear lift and I only needed 1.5” lift for my setup. This kit also has two different weight adjustments depending how much you have in the bed or towing which is nice. I can also remove anytime it if needed, but the truck drives so nice after installation I can’t see a need to ever remove it.

Fair enough. How would you describe the difference in how the truck drives? And are you still running stock shackle hangers?

The rear leafs have been my biggest challenge in getting the rear to ride more like 4runner instead of a dumptruck. I'm close with my setup (dakars, which are the weak point, and hammer hangers) but always curious what other options are out there. Especially options that work well with an unloaded box.

The truck overall feels more solid when daily driving, especially when unloaded. Much better around turns too as it doesn’t body roll as bad as it used to. For my setup, this kit was exactly what I was looking for.

The main reason I wanted this kit though is that the rear of my truck was squatting bad when loaded up because of the worn out leaf springs, so that has been completely solved with this setup. And the smooth ride when daily driving was definitely an added bonus.

I’m running full stock TRD Pro suspension with no changes to the shackle hangers, but if you have any specific questions you can contact RoadActive Suspension anytime as they are very responsive. :oldglory:

Thinking of getting these after installing my Decked, which will make my daily added payload about 325# - so thanks for posting! 6mo after your vid, do you still think you made a good choice or would biting the bullet on new leafs have been better?

Also, what is the roughest terrain you've driven over with these? Any issues off-roading?

I’m curious how this provided 1.5” of lift?

Yes I would do it again for sure it’s been a great setup! I’ve been off roading on some pretty rough terrain off-roading, so I’ll attach video link below for your viewing pleasure. Cheers

I’m no engineer, but when measuring before/after these are my findings that the rear was lifted ~1.5” and I have stock leaf springs. The RAS is strong for sure

I have these installed on my 21 sport and agree with it reducing body roll nicely and overall improving the towing hauling experience. I only measured a 0.75" lift at the 2mm setting. Only concerns I have with it is I noticed it gashed my left side shock boot with is no biggie really but something to disclose I feel, and it appears to me that over time they lose tension as usually when on the hoist I check the spring tension and notice it to always loss tension even with locktite on the tension screw. I'm presently at 2.5mm spacing with both of mine at the end of their adjustment range. I suspect over time that the hook end is straightening out

I will definitely keep an eye on spring tension for mine and post back if I notice anything out of the ordinary. So far so good, mine have not damaged the boot and seem to have kept tension properly. During installation, I really cranked down on the locking nuts which might have helped. I'm also on the lowest tension setting. Thanks for the info!
