i tried searching but i could just suck at it....

i'm going to be installing my new hid kit and am thinking about picking up a new set of headlights (factory ones are have very hazy lenses and need to be polished) but i was thinking for the trouble, i might as well get some new headlights

which ones on ebay are quality? was going to get the blacked out ones....also they normally come with corner lights too

any links, recommendations would be great

    thanks

I'm pretty sure, don't take my word for it - wait for someone who knows more than I - you have to get HID specific housings or else the halogen housings will create a lot of scatter.

I've got the blackout lights from ebay with the corner lights and I have had no problems with them at all.

I got some that were made by "Eagle Eyes" and they are ok but the opening for the bulb is a little off because my projector is tilted a little. I put in some mini h1's.

When I first bought my truck back in 08 at the beginning of 09 I got a set of OEM ones off the Internet cuz mine had a yellow film on them but they been sitting in the shop ever since. When I'm home I'll look and see what site I got them off of and how much I paid. I'll then pm you with all the details and pics if I get them to load.

Listen to the old man-save your money. Buy a tube of "GS-27" scratch remover. Apply some to a cloth and swirl away the haze. This stuff has a microcrystalline compound in it that is perfect for this problem. Mine are as new and 10years old!
I know you younguns dont like to hear about the cheap route-but there's my advice.

ya just looked that stuff up and every review was saying it's terrible and doesn't work (but that's on paint)

there are other headlight restoration kits out there that do work

All I know is, I bought the 3M headlight restore kit, spent about 1.5 hours of my time, and am very pleased with the results. Not 100% brand new, but pretty darn close for a 8 year told truck with over 100K miles. I think I got it for like $12 on Amazon or something.

    did i say you were?

the 3m kit is one i've looked at, there are a few others as well

the important thing is getting one that comes with a UV selant, or else it will just haze over again

Funny-mine don't haze over at all. and the way you said it implied GS27 did not do what I said it did. I am just suggesting to the OP a cheap $4-6 dollar way to go that is actual proof on MY truck of it working. Why try to knock it right off??
