Mine is a retirement present from me to me.
I thought it looked cool and liked the way it drove (M6 Sport) so I bought it.
I don't know if that makes it a smart buy or not... :notsure:

You only go around once. Similar to why I purchased mine. Plus with the insane resale value, it is a solid purchase.

    He straightened himself up.

    Me?

Provide details on that crookedness. We are all friends here, nothing to fear on the open interwebs!

The truck is the only vehicle I ever made payments on.

Through the work years I had (and still have) clunkers & wheezers that I bought cheap and fixed up, I took good care of them and they did fine by me.

I could never see paying big money for something to sit in the parking lot at work all day when a $1000 vehicle could sit there just the same.

I'll call Gwyn tonight when she's done with work. Like I said, getting these people to answer the phone is like herding cats...

I drove past my old house in North Wales today (it's actually in Montgomery Township, but the mailing address is North Wales). My parents bought the house new in 1990, we lived there until 1996, and with the exception of the air-conditioner it really has not changed much...

The trees in the front yard have also grown considerably larger in the nearly 27 years since my parents sold the house...

I am still going to HHI, but the Tacoma is not this time around. The house has incredibly limited parking onsite and the public streets are narrow; I will be going to down with my parents in the Yukon, and hopefully playing the PS5 on the built-in entertainment system!

I will be taking the Taco to a car show in Harrisburg this weekend, at least two Carlisle shows (Import Nats and Truck Nats), numerous other car shows in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (plus possibly one in Delaware), and possibly a trip up to my grandma's house in Maine. Once Amanda moves back to Pennsylvania, the almost-weekly trips up to New Jersey will no longer be necessary.

Work is 14 miles roundtrip if I do t run any errands, and the job at Home Depot will only be 2 miles roundtrip if I get it. The majority of miles put on my truck between March and November will no doubt be driving to and from car shows. I am DONE with DoorDash!
