I've seen those and they look very durable.
I am looking for something a little more fancy. PRP covers look nice.

Ah right on. I have a 27F AGM but I use a NOCO maintainer once a month. I really should look at something like you have.

I have a Noco charger as well and tend to still hook up my batteries once a month or so. There is some debate over the voltage boosters but one of the forum electronic experts runs one and I like the idea of keeping batteries charged in line just off the alternator with manufacturer recommendations. This thread is a good read:

I think the best thing would be to put some clear wrap on around the channel to protect the paint. I don't think it would cost much or be to hard.

One of 2 wheel bearings installed. Tomorrow I'll do the other. Was getting a grinding sound and vibration.

Trying to get this thing driving pretty good. I'll be checking my Radiator mounts next. Feels like it's Gunna fall apart when I hit bumps.

But I've done a lot to this thing since having it and correcting previous owners flaws. Slowly getting better as I replace stuff. Think I need a 3° axle shim next.

Finally got around to rebuilding my driver side lower control arm. Did my passenger a few weeks ago but haven’t had time for the other side until today. White line bushings and Moog greasable lower ball joints. Also got the switch put in that I’ll be using for my rear locker when that gets here. The switch wouldn’t fit so I took a dremel to it and widened it out a bit so now it fits perfect. Wiring that up is gonna be a nightmare though.

Also did my alignment, it’s my own vehicle so as long as my tires wear evenly; “close enough” will work just fine.

Installed fresh universal joints and center carrier bearing. ~180K miles on the OG stuff. Went with Spicer, which was what I had. The Toyota stamped carrier bearing was $60 on Amazon vs $270 from local Toyota dealer. The vibration under acceleration got bad after recent road trip. Silky smooth now

From the engine compartment you can see where the hood release cable comes through a rubber gasket in the firewall. I carefully poked a long phillips head screw driver through the rubber bushing from the engine compartment through the firewall and it came out near the fuse box. Then, I taped the end of the sensor to the end of the phillips head and gently pulled it back through to the engine side. I then ran the wire to the grill and tied it off along the way to the other wiring harness with wire ties. I am guessing that the senor wire doesn't have much electricity going through it. a low number of milliamps perhaps <20Ma????????? I say this because I didn't bother encasing this with any king of innerduct.

If anyone is reading this, it would be great if you could check out my youtube channel and do the like and subscribe thing. http://youtube.com/@tacoma.roamer.

    Just some stuff...
There are some really nice ones out there. My problem is having a lifted truck and at the same time not being very tall. So what happens is instead of stepping out of my truck I tend to slide off the side of the seat. Wears the heck out of it after a while. Lol! You’re right, the carhartts are pretty tough. I’ve been sliding off of them for years! They still look good. Haha!!

Those are pretty nice! They definitely look durable. I like the molle on the back of the covers! I have a molle panel on the back of my drivers seat with a bunch or storage and I love it.
But... these cost more then PRP covers (Bartact's are on sale right now for $420) and PRP are fully customizable.

I'm tall and I still slide out lol
My rock sliders are too high to use as a step so I just slide out. But I am able to just step right in even with a 3" lift lol

Hey now, it's from a tractor not a train.

I built it for a weldment design class in college. Never actually finished all of the parts, that was 15 years ago. It's on my to do list.
